Three Provinces Strong in Rubber Releasing Lists of Science and Technology Awards

On March 17, the Ministry of Ecological Environment released five state environmental protection standards for technical specifications of pollutant emission permit application and issuance through No. 23 Notice of 2020. Two of these are related to the rubber industry, which are Technical Specification for Application and Issuance of Pollutant Permit - Rubber and Plastic Products Industry (HJ1122-2020) and Technical Specification for Application and Issuance of Pollutant Permit - Footwear Manufacturing Industry (HJ1123-2020). These standards are implemented as of the date of publication. 

Zhejiang Province: Five Rubber Projects Shortlisted for Disclosure List

It was released on March 4 the disclosure list of accepted projects for 2019 Zhejiang Province Science and Technology Award, in which five rubber industry projects were shortlisted for the Science and Technology Progress Award. They are respectively: 315/70R22.5 normative testing tire project of Zhongce Rubber Group Co., Ltd.; environmentally protective high temperature resistant fabric core rubber conveyor belt project of Zhejiang Double Arrow Rubber Co., Ltd.; automotive glass guide rail sealing strip technology research, development and industrialization project of Jianxin Zhao’s Group Corp.; 10,000 tons/year special carbon black research and industrialization project of Ningbo Detai Chemical Co., Ltd.; and high wear-resistant and tear-resistant agricultural rubber track project of Yachoo Technology Co., Ltd.

Shandong Province: 2020 Science and Technology Award Nominees Disclosed

On February 20, the 2020 Shandong Province Science and Technology Award nomination work was completed, and six projects from rubber industry were shortlisted for the disclosure list of accepted projects for 2020 Shandong Province Science and Technology Award. They are respectively:

(1) GB/T 32662-2016 standard application of complete set of pyrolysis equipment for waste rubber and waste plastic to oil. The candidate units include Jinan Niutech Environment Technology Corporation and Jinan Youbang Hengyu Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd.

(2) Development of LCZ-ZD tri-drum all-steel one-stage forming machine. The candidate unit is Qingdao Doublestar Rubber & Plastic Machinery Co., Ltd.

(3) Synthesis of new high-efficiency flame retardant phenyl phosphinate and its industrialized application in plastics and rubber. The candidate units include Qingdao Fusilin Chemical Science & Technology Co., Ltd. and Shandong University of Science and Technology.

(4) Environmentally friendly production formula technology and complete equipment for continuous regeneration of waste tires at atmospheric pressure. The candidate units include China Rubber Resource Regeneration (Qingdao) Co., Ltd. and Qingdao University of Science & Technology.

(5) Technical equipment and industrialized application of mixed rubber preparation for high-performance rubber products. The candidate units include Qingdao University of Science & Technology and Qingdao Doublestar Tire Industrial Co., Ltd.

(6) Key technologies research, development and application of series rubber filling chemicals for oil field and sludge recycling preparation. The candidate units include Qingdao University of Science & Technology and Shengli Oil Field Jindao Industry Co., Ltd.

Jiangsu Province: List of Science and Technology Award Announced

On March 19, the Government of Jiangsu Province announced the winner list of 2019 Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Award, and four projects in rubber tire industry were rewarded.

Among them, one project won the first prize of Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Award: key technology and application of high-speed 3D molded non-pneumatic truck tires. The completing units include Jiangsu Risingsun Tyre Co., Ltd., Beijing University of Chemical Technology and Xi’an Jiaotong University.

One won the second prize: research, development and industrialization of segmented rubber elastic wheels for urban rail vehicles. The completing units include CRRC Qishuyan Institute Co., Ltd., etc.

Two won the third prize: key technology and complete equipment for efficient recycling of compound tire rubber resources, completed by Taixing City Shuang Yang Mechanical Engineering Co., Ltd. and Changzhou University; and key technology and industrialization of design and production for high-performance OTR tire, completed by Xuzhou Vocational College of Industrial Technology, Qingdao University of Science & Technology and Xuzhou Armour Rubber Company Ltd.
